I have a suggestion. Call back! Having been on the other end of the phone as a technician in the past, I can tell you, unfortunately, that some of those folks are totally clueless. Call back. You will get some one who knows their stuff. Also, remember that all your calls are logged in problem tracking software. So if you blow your top it'll be recorded. So play nice (not that you haven't so far). Otherwise, if you know that you're talking to someone who is clueless, ask to speak to a "Product Specialist." Those folks generally know what they are doing.

This is very inside, so trust me.

I attempted this but did not see any option for reverting to iChat. Where do
I find it within the installer ?

I called Applecare today and they told me that it is no longer possible to
get the regular iChat and that they had not heard of any problems with the
iChat AV. They told me the only option to possibly get back the original
iChat is to archive and install which is just a big hassle.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Amber
