The iMac slot loaders (Especially the original DV for some reason) are a dab
hand at burning out Hard disks before you can fill them up.

I have found that the best drive in my iMac DV 400 is the temporary Quantum
Pioneer SG2.1A (1.96GB) - You cant get much on it (Other than a semi install
of Panther) but at least it works. The original Western Digital 10GB burned
out within a few months of it being new.
