I need help running a zip drive on an old iMac. I
installed the Iomega software, but the unit is
not recogizeing that a USB zip is connected to
it. What am I doing wrong? I am running system
8.1. The system profiler says that the zip
extentions are enabled. Help!

I'm not sure how you are running 8.1 on an iMac, but at the very least I'd suggest you upgrade to 8.6.

You might also consider that it is probably time for you to start saving for a new machine. Circa-1997 stuff just isn't going to cut it on a LOT of levels anymore.
