I've used Fax STF quite a bit, in OS 9...
I just unplug my phone line from my DSL modem, and plug it in to the computer, when I want to send a fax.
When receiving a fax, I just turn off my answering machine. Of course, I have to know someone's trying to send one to me!
I don't do a lot of faxing, as you can tell. But it's nice to have the capability once in a while, usually when sending off resumes!
Someone mentioned the key combination -- I don't remember offhand what it is, maybe Option-Control, but if you're in a word processing app and you hold it down, it changes the dropdown menu in File from "print" to "fax" -- very handy.
