If they are on a router, they are on the same subnet.

That means that they almost have the same IP-address, like 10.0.x.x or
192.168.x.x and that they have a subnetmask of 255.255.255.0. If the thing
you have is not a router, but a switch, and the two computers are in effect
just separate computers on the internet, I would suggest that you just get
an AIM-account on the PC and use that and your iChat-account to drop files
to each other. Should work, although I haven't tried :-)
