Thanks for the info. Using the technique you describe, I have changed icons on things like .pdf files but was not sure if it could be done with a disc Image.
Related question: To make room for a test burn I will need to dump several home movies that were created in iMovie and then burned to DVD using iDVD. I imagine there are a lot of shared files between the two programs as a result. Is there a "best way" to delete these movies without causing any glitches?
