We were talking about mainstream music download outlets. It was a
given (and seemingly understood by everyone but you) that things like
some band's website where they have a few MP3s available or a
"giveaway" single on iTMS or Amazon et al wasn't part of the equation.

vital qualification, you ended up with a statement that was false. Here
it is again:

No room for misunderstanding. It's a categorical, unambiguous
