idiot, you might not get them or a comperable idiot the second time.
If you do get a moron, read them AppleCare's terms and conditions
right off the AppleCare page on Apple's site:

It clearly states that shipping costs are covered. Keep reading
the page to them again and again until you get shuffled up to
somoene that will help you.
That's what I did when my G3 ibook crapped out--they weren't
helpful at first, but kept at it and ended up being given a G4
ibook as a free replacement.

Its gonna cost me $200 to fix this out of my own pocket. Can you tell
me if there is someone else to contact?
Is it too much to ask that they pay for the shipping? What if I lived
in Alaska? Do they WANT people to buy their products.
sorry for the rant-I am disappointed.
