I tried: Disk Utility, Tech Tool Pro, DiskWarrior and DataRescue. Disk Utility officially said it could not repair the volume. Tech Tool Pro tested a a lot of aspects of the drive and everything passed except volume structure. Then it said it had 2,04,962 or so items to fix! And eventually gave up. DiskWarrior in Target mode could not even start to rebuild the drive. DiskWarrior with the drive in an external enclosure connected to a MacBook was able to read the drive enough to think it sould rebuild it but then after two tries- one several hours, one 48 hours- it was unable to move past step one. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs.
