I will say this, I've found Debian to be fairly easy to setup on my PowerBooks, as well as my G4 mini, but, I'm a long-time Linux user, so YMMV. Anyway, Debian is my choice for PPC Macs, just because I've used it for a long time, and I've been very happy with it.
