Even more strange, ubuntu does it again with early releases of 10.04 on x86 (apparently the ppc version isn't out yet). This time there is a note saying it is a "bug" and to use dvd or usb install.
I backed up to 9.04 because it fits on a cd. Installed onto the imac just fine. From there i can apparently upgrade to 9.1 (though i haven't tried yet). No video issues at all on this nvidia chip! But... I'd like to learn one i could eventually put on a TiBook. Booting my 550mhz from the live cd only gave me grayscale gibberish. Can't even begin to install or configure. Bummer.
