I learned that after burning the file was still corrupt. I wish those apple guys would stop playing with their iPads and iPhones and fix not only the "combo" download but also the update.
I do not believe that any of the Apple mirrors are currently offering corrupted updates. The ones I've downloaded this morning are all intact, and show their original dates.
IOW, it is your download that was faulty. Redo. Or better - just use Software Update to get and apply it.
MyLivingDesktop was behaving oddly and i confirmed with the programmer for MLD that the latest update did indeed break something and that apple tech is working on an update.
Ok. So there's a bug in either the OS or MLD that needs to be addressed. That's nothing to do with a corrupted download.
Moving desktop backgrounds? Really? I donno, I think that would make me want to stick a fork thru my skull, or at least go shrieking into the night... Wasn't there a gizmo that animated all the icons on your desktop, back in the OS 8/9 days? I seem to remember playing with it; having it drag my machine to its knees. Don't mind me. I still miss Forker.
