Couple that with smtp using about 400 MB's of ram and everyone with a busy server should really be thinking 2 GB's to run an IMail server. So, let me get this straight, if we upgrade we are moving to a more resource hungry situation that we have with 8.2? And the benefit? It seems that there is the ever-growing need to add things to a server. Sniffer, etc so taking more of our resources is not the way to go. I've got 2 gigs of RAM but I also want to run a few other things like some web sites and database software. Not too happy to hear we are moving up the resource consuming ladder rather than into a more efficient environment. Regards, Steve Guluk SGDesign (949) 661-9333 ICQ: 7230769 |
