Obviously, Hotmail doesn't care about letting their users know if they send
a message to an invalid address. And they don't want to tie up system
resources storing and displaying the bounced mail. You get what you pay for
and Hotmail is free.
Wouldn't it be nice if W3 Consortium (or some other authority) could
"prosecute" people who violated the RFCs? Can you say, "Class Action
Lawsuit?" That would get the Internet straightened out in a hurry. :-)
