It's been running problem-free for quite some time.

Right now, I have a 100% success rate (no false positives so far) by
checking RBL, DUL, OSDUL, OSSRC and OSSOFT and isolating these files in a
"hold" directory before deleting them. The other checks have false
positives, so I just add a tag to the headers for the client software (e.g.
Outlook) to filter them and move them into a SPAM folder in the user's
inbox.

About the only real downside of Declude is the late "timing" of the spam
checks. I would be so much more comfortable to simply reject MORE of the
possibly spam, IF it could be refused during the SMTP receive - so that the
sender gets a proper 'bounce back'. IF it is a false positive, at least any
VALID sender will be immediately notified that his mail didn't go through
for xyz reason.

That's where I see one key advantage of IMGate, assuming it's spam checking
happens at an earlier time.

Otherwise, I am very happy to have DECLUDE without having to set up,
maintain, monitor, administer, etc. another piece of hardware/software with
an operating system that we are not familiar with.

Best Regards
Andy Schmidt
