I'm sure the declude product works great but I have no experience with it. I
started developing a similiar product some time ago but found that the
development time just costs too much and is hard to justify when there are
product like 'decluse' or 'postfix' already out there.
I personaly have installed and configured FreeBSD along with Postfix on a
couple of lower end pentiums (133 MHz) and find them to function quite well.
Len's instructions on his web site are a wonderful resource.
We are replacing these two servers with our standard 1U rackmount machines -
not out of necessity mind you, but to maintain our internal standards.
Remember, If you do purchase another machine for postfix, it's not just for
spam prevention, it also provides you with additional MX to take over when
your imail system is down for maint, repairs, etc...
