Is there a way of limiting the number of mails that will go out at a time?

For example ..... say 80 pieces or less from a single user. This would
prevvent a "REAL" user from opening an account with a stolen Credit Card and
overnight running one of those damn programs that send million pieces of
mail through our server.

John,

Sort of depends on what else (prior to/after these errors started) the log
shows. If the SMTP session has reached the point where the remote is sending
'rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]', then they are looking for 'valid' users and no
mail is being accepted or sent. However if at least one valid address is
found, then the remote would have to get to the DATA command and complete
that (sending the email body), before any message is accepted by IMail. Only
then would IMail attempt to deliver the email.

Typically these kind of sessions end well before any DATA command is issued,
so no email was sent nor will IMail have anything to deliver.
