Actually, this won't affect anyone who is not using you for smtp at all, since... they are not uisng your smtp service. :-) As far as smtp goes nothing you do will affect them.
What it will affect is everyone who does use your Imail server. And if I may suggest: Do this as soon as you possibly can, and count yourself extremely lucky you haven't been compromised or blacklisted by the community as an open relay.
