Actually, I wrote [EMAIL PROTECTED], but it is a dummy of the real
email address.
Starting this morning, I'm getting this error message sending to someone
I've corresponded with for several years:
Your message
To: username
Subject: RE: title
Sent: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 11:26:26 -0600
did not reach the following recipient(s):
username on Wed, 20 Jun 2001 21:40:51 -0600
The maximum time for delivering the message expired
The MTS-ID of the original message is: c=us;a=
;p=aegon;l=DDCD-EXSMTP30103131726G6SHKRGY
MSEXCH:MSExchangeMTA:ATLANTA:AASMGBCFAX
Obviously, I replace the person's name with "username". This comes back in
less than 1 minute.
I've checked my DNS setup and it appears that my MX and A records are
correctly set -- though if someone wants to review, they can.
Is the above error related to the other error I reported? Is this error
happening on my end or theirs?
Thanks.

Saw the message in the digest and it rang a bell...
Look very carefully (magnifying glass, even) at the rejected address in the
MSExchange tracking log, at the SMTP address of the recipient (Exchange
Administrator), and at the address used to send the message. MS Exchange
will reject anything that is not exactly correct. Spaces are included in the
lookup, even trailing spaces at the end of an address. (I don't like the
looks of a space in 'valid [EMAIL PROTECTED]', but you may have added that for
clarity.)
