First, let's all use the same (and correct) terminology. Nobody is an Alias,
not an account! Hate to say how many times I've said this and how many times
people get it wrong (both in describing and actual usage!).
1. Not necessarily, the administrator would see all 'mis-addressed' email to
the domain in which the Nobody alias exists, not 'all undeliverable', which
could mean much more (like outgoing).
2. Same as above.
But yes, it is a 'switch', on (nobody exists) and email is accepted and goes
to the account specified and off, only the sender gets an 'unknown user'
response.
Note that being an Alias, nobody could be a program alias and perform any
task that the external program can do. This could be a way to change how it
works. I think at least one person has done this already.
