yeah, use the mcafee on a desktop machine that has ntfs admin priv on the
target mail server. map drives, it doesn't seem to work well with unc's.
scan the mapped drives as if they belonged to the workstation. an old boat
anchor of a machine with just enough resources for the OS and mcafee should
do fine. once set up, this box then scans all your server's hard drives
24x7. tell it to scan everything. don't take the defaults with mcafee. go to
their site and read about everybody elses mistakes, learn from those and
then implement accordingly. ie install sw defensively ;?)

they're also on this 'rent the software' trip. see if you can find a distro
for an older non-rent product and try to license that instead of renting-
good luck, you'll need it.
