regarding the rfc's,
here's an open invitation
to flame and deride me:
there are many engines out
there that have all the rfc's in a searchable form. back in my clariNET
days, i could archie for them or telnet to a few boxes that had them searchable
from a menu. hey, we had lynx! a weal web bwowsa. and good old elm. <sigh>
p.i.N.e. is NOT elm, folks not at all.
anyways
who has a good
rfc and standards site anymaw? help me out please, i am completely
clueless. i cut my teeth on rpg, basic, assembler, DOS (not pc's) CICS and
yada. i know from a modem strapped to be an msd to go to a front end
cluster controller. i know from an at&t merlin or a siemens
ewsd.
i'm stupid about internet
and need help bad. insecure too, some hand holding and mentoring
(tormenting?) appreciated.
i mean, i mean, I MEAN...
i'm trine-ta run da whole innanet ova heah and i havent got a
clue!
please send good stuff to
the list, and in this case only flames directly to me, kleenex right on top of
the monitor and asbestos reading glasses ready...
i'll sit at the piano
waiting.
thank
you.
