Maybe  a  lot more, when you include the initial MUA-to-MTA bandwidth!
If  you've  been posting one message and are now sending 10,000...that
sounds  like  more than 10x. Not to mention that you couldn't possibly
do  this in one SMTP transaction, so you've got that overhead too. And
that's before they even start to get delivered.

For  the  record, our IMAILSRV replacement (coming out next year) will
allow  server-side  replacement  of  address fields in a single posted
message.  You  will  have  processor and storage I/O overhead to think
about  if  you use this feature, obviously, but the incoming bandwidth
will be unchanged.
