SMTP command pipelining is an option which allows the SMTP client to send 
several commands before receiving any commmands back from the SMTP 
server.  harvesters use pipelining

ME doesn't understand EHLO, but it says "ESMTP" in its banner above.

ME permits SMTP command pipelining

weird.  I can't see anything wrong with your MAIL FROM:

re-boot both machines.  :))
