If I telnet to that server and enter the commands manually, I get the "PIPELINING" response after sending the "EHLO" command. Could this be a timing problem? I.E., your server isn't getting the response back to the "EHLO" command quickly enough, so it sends the "HELO" which I think is not valid at that point because their server actually has recognized you from the "EHLO". So they're looking for a "MAIL FROM" but instead get the "HELO" and then they get lost? Just my guess; I'm no expert (not yet anyway!)
