I'm just thinking out loud here, and have not gotten a chance to test yet:

What about this scenario,,  I spend all day in one location viewing my
e-mails (about 100), and then go home to my other machine, and then download
them (deleting them off the server as well).  My theory is that since I
check for mail every 2 minutes, after that period is up, I still have about
60 messages left, and my client tries to send/receive again, thus negating
the clients expected delete of the messages on the server, and when the
first process gets done, the second set of dupes come down, and so on and so
on....


Any one have any thoughts on that?
