Do you have IIS running on your IMail server? If so, try stopping the IIS
service and restarting the IMail web services and try using web mail again.
BTW, my IMail Web Service runs under the system account, and although it's
not required to run under the system account, if you change it to run under
a user account you will need to set the appropriate directory and file
access permissions if you want the service to start and run properly.

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Can send mail from web interface

Terry,

Thank you for you feedback Yes I have rebooted the server about 5 times
now.
I tried sending a message from the web with a good email address and
then checked the
log file I did not see anything wrong. I can send an email by clicking
on imail1.exe but not when using the browser.

No fire wall in place. I have also changed the password for the
administrator BTW should the imail services be set to system or
administrator in Windows services? Any other ideas? Again thank you
very much.

I did add iusr to the imail folder with full permissions.
