Can anyone tell me if my web server can use IMail 6.0 to relay without having to set the Relay For option in SMTP Security? When I use the relay for option, it seems some of my users cannot send through IMail 6.0 to certain domains. I know we are not blacklisted.Um, it sounds like you're an open relay, which means that you aren't blacklisted *yet*.
IMail's SMTP Security options have a number of relaying choices. Of them, only 2 can be used safely (the rest cause you to be an open relay). The two safe options are "Relay for Addresses" and "No Mail Relay".
Since you have problems when using the "relay for" option, that means you aren't using "No mail relay" either, and therefore are running an open relay. You should fix that first, or else you are going to continue offering free mail service to spammers (and how do you think that would affect your business, if people knew that?).
