Hi Len,

The SMTP debugging option is checked on our IMail Server, and has been for as long as 
I can remember.  I sometimes wondered if that could be costing us a bit of a 
performance hit on the mail server - but we've never bothered to turn it off to see 
what would happen.

As far as logging goes, I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but we don't have the 
SysLog service running. IMail is just logging everything to the default sys*.txt log 
file.  However, I did turn on the SysLog service a few days ago and set it to interact 
with the desktop.  I spent about 15 minutes watching it log in real-time, every 
connection to msn.com failed with exactly the same error message (no more, no less) as 
the regular log showed.  Depressed, I turned the dang thing off and went back to the 
'ol drawing board.
