I have some doubts about this having any effect on your message transmission. The (default) value should not have been filled in. But playing with it in the lab did not change the HELO name in my testing. If you can establish through logs or packet sniffing that this value is actually read by SMTP32, this is a coding error and should be reported to Ipswitch R&D.
