Hi;
Is there a way to
have an auto-reply created for an account so the original message is included
following the message?
This can help us
solve the problem starting to surface with the new SPAM confirmation requesting
systems.
Our online system
for payment processing sends a confirmation email to people when they make a
payment and now mail servers are starting to reply to that address asking for
confirmation. We process a lot of payments on an hourly basis and if this
new trend becomes adopted we are facing a nightmare.
The account that
is used for sending the confirmation receipt is not used for anything else and
people are not supposed (?) to send any emails to it. It is recommended to
our clients to whitelist that account but donors have no control specially if
they are working in a company that has implemented this type of protection
system. What this amounts to simply is the payment receipt is not
delivered to the person that has made the payment.
One idea to combat
this is if the auto-response would actually add a set response that we type at
the top of the email and sends it back with the original message following the
text. The SPAM response systems have an area that are not to be changed so
they simply use this to parse the text and release the email. So as long
as we don't touch that area it does not matter what we say. Also the
message can be used in general to notify the sender not to communicate using
that email address.
Any
ideas?
Regards,
Kami
