Outstanding!  Ok and once its installed u leave it running or its a service
or what???

Makes me wonder if someone has written a CF solution to this interfacing
with the API directly.  That'd be slick.

     For all practical purposes the answer is YES.

     The old internet mail client which I belive is no longer
     available could also be used as a MAPI client.

     There are very few other choices.  You can write a program and
     interface the MAPI (which is Mail API) directly.
