Using the Netscape browser's mail program used to require the % sign,
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) but I don't know if the current versions do. I
guess I don't know anyone using Netscape. Netscape (AOL) doesn't even use
Netscape.

Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] Virtual Servers in 8.0?

Egads! So Outlook doesn't require the '%' symbol fix for virtual servers?!
For whatever reason (and it has been a while since we first tested and
deployed IMail), I was under the impression that MOST mail clients required
the '%' format. Funny how one small misconception can snowball into so much
wasted energy.

Well, given that Outlook is now the dominant mail client by a landslide, I
don't suppose we should continue to base our standard procedures on the
least common denominator. I'll update our instructions and post some FAQs
for the Netscape and Eudora users. This should result in far, far fewer
support requests.

Thank you all for your input. I am VERY grateful.

Dave
