Just did an upgrade, it went very smooth. Nothing was turned on by default and it did not affect our webmail template. Note: we went from 7.1 to 8.0.
Ouch -- check your "root-bulk" folder. IMail v8 *does* have anti-spam enabled by default (unless they have changed since the original release).
