Thanks Scott. My applolgies for the anonymity, but the client is a law firm and my companies policies dictate that I not disclose ANY client information no matter how trivial it may be.
I used the Mail Test tool at http://www.DNSreport.com and everything seems fine. I also sent an email to this person from another mail server that I have and it went through ok. If I remember corrrectly their setup is Firewall --- Tumbleweed --- Exchange. My thinking is that I am being cut off at the firewall level. We had another problem earlier in the week that was the result of someone in their firm making changes. Too many people at their firm have the ability to make changes without knowing everything that is going. It's the "Fix one problem --- Create another problem" syndrome. Luckily I have a contact at this firm who will work with me to fix "our" problem as opposed to some people that want to do nothing other than to point a finger and declare that it is "my" problem.
