If you lookup 208.34.41.163 a PTR comes back for mail.citravel.com
# dig -x 208.34.41.163 @ns1-auth.sprintlink.net.

Sprint is authoritative for citravelc.com, and they are putting PTR records in the ctravel.com zone.
Now I am seeing in DNSreport that it also says no revers DNS for my MX record. I have called registar which host my DNS
no. they are the registrar for your zone, but your forward citravel.com zone is delegated to Sprint's NSs, are you talking to Sprint DNS admin people?
and asked to also create a reverse zone but they keep saying I need to contact sprint.
they are correct
Is this correct? 1. Sprint needs to make the entries (which they have)
see above, but it's not conventional since they are putting PTR records in the forward zone.
2. My DNS hosting company
.... which is Sprint
must also creat a revers zone (which they have not..they stat they have turn revers look ups off for security??)
??? reverse and forward queries are technically identical, so why don't they turn of forward lookups "for security"?
Anyone want to recommed another DNS hosting Company? Or since we are up to 8 domains is it time I made my own DNS server??
yes, always better to run your own DNS. you cook it, you eat it. :))
