Thanks for the replies... Finding that both iMail/Exchange on the same server is a headache I am not going to go down that road.
Here's what I would like to accomplish: 1-Backed up PSTs for those who want to use Outlook (when the PST is on the local computer) 2-Web e-mail that has all the messages, not just new ones So what I'm thinking is get iMail 8 and make all the teachers use it, and let admin/staff use Outlook. Where I'm stuck is how to get those local PSTs over to the server daily so I can back them up... How do you do it? Thanks, Todd >From my (our) experience Imail and Exchange don't play well on the same server. We just converted from Exchange to Imail due to client license costs of upgrading an older version of Exchange to the latest and greatest Exchange (no more pop3 licenses). Imail is definately more cost effective in our case and offers everything our users thought they needed in exchange - web based email, calendering. During the conversion, I and my crew tried to have exchange and Imail running on the same box...let's say it was a big headache. imap and smtp on one, pop3 on the other, store and forward. I would really question the users "why do you need exchange?" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Todd Elgie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, December 08, 2003 8:34 AM Subject: [IMail Forum] Exchange 2003 and iMail, same server > Hello, > > I'm the IT director for a small private school, and we currently run > iMail 6.X for our 70-some teachers and 20 admin/staff/coaches.
