Hi, I'm having an issue getting LDAP to work. This is the 1st time I've set it up. Moved from being on Domino servers for the past couple years.
Setup: I've started and configured the LDAP service inside the iMail Administrator. Verified that port 389 is open on the mail server. Set up my Outlook client the way it states in the 7.1 User's Guide, by adding the objectclass=Person. as the search base. Added the Servername, and my user id. Problem: When I leave the username/password fields blank, it tells me that I probably need to authenticate. I add in my username and password for iMail and it tells me my authentication is wrong. I leave just my user id and no password and it doesn't give me any names. If I leave the objectclass=Person. in the search base it tells me "No such object. Maybe your search base is invalid" On the server, I've gone to the ldap directory and found the person.dta file that has everybody's information in it. All the info that I need but I can't access it! I've tried this from Outlook XP and OE 6 clients. That is what my ~50 users use to collect their IMAP mail from our iMail server. Any help would be appreciated!
