Jeffrey, A couple of suggestions...
1) If your clients use the IMAP protocol instead of POP, there would be not need for the them to use the web interface. Using IMAP allows them to see the contents of their spam box and delete based on subject without having to download the message bodies. 2) Depending on the number of users and how much spam they get, it is possible for the largely ignored spam box to grow very large. I'd recommend pruning them to something much shorter than 30 days. We automatically prune 'Deleted' (1 day) and 'Spam' (7 days) folders for our clients. 3) I'm not aware of a global rules.ima file yet. Be aware though, that domain level rules are checked prior to user level rules. If a match is made in the domain rules, that's it - no more rules will be processed, including the user level rules. This make it impossible for a user to exclude/override the domain rules. Use domain rules with caution. So now the only danger is the spambox fills up their max mail box size limit, so I use the immsgexp.exe -tc:\imail -d30 -spambox.mbx command on a task to run nightly and Imail will then search out all my user mail boxes on the entire server that has a submail box of spambox.mbx and delete any message in that mail box that are more than 30 days old. It won't delete any messages in any other mailbox files except those named spambox.mbx. Can someone verify that I'm on the right track here! If this is correct any change that the inbound rule can be auto added to each domain when it is created somehow? Or is there a master inbound rule for the entire mail server? (I don't see that option now). Anyway if I could get this inbound rule to auto crate when a domain is created I would be set for the provisioning processes I'm setting up.
