You've already stated that the users are to have the same SMTP domain when viewed from outside the company. Thus, as I put it in an earlier e-mail, you ARE sharing the domain across the two servers. You MUST then implement some secondary domain or other routing moniker that is _different_ between the two servers. In IMail peering, for example, two servers service the same domain, so the domain itself can't be used for routing. Instead, the systems use IP addresses (a.k.a. domain literals, [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED]) to distinguish the "home server" of a given mailbox. Hostnames are easier to manage, but you could even use domain literals if you wanted. Your core problem is not of pushing/pulling mail through the IMail box to Exchange: your problem begins internally, when you're just trying to send mail from users on one box to users on the other.
