Presumably Rockliffe must have some filter which trashed it.
This makes me wonder why the list is still run by Rockliffe. Couldn't one
of us run it?
i was kinda surprised they took it over.
none of us were even told about it, the address just changed.

Replies to the queries below are still welcome, thought I have now learnt
about Klint's IMSCTL project thanks to Don (When will it be ready, Klint?
And doesn't the user need to be able to edit the autorply and autofwd
files as well as the ctl file?)

Subject: Auto-Reply not working
Before I went on holiday recently I set up an ims.ctl file and an
autorply.txt file to let everyone know I was away.
When I got back there were 800+ emails awaiting me.
What did I do wrong?
A colleague set up an autoreply.txt file for a user _without_ an ims.ctl
file and it worked fine!!
While on the subject of ims.ctl and associated files, is there any way of
allowing the user to create/edit these files themselves?
We have all user mailboxes set up on the same server as ims, using the
c:\mailboxes\%Username% format, so the users do _not_ have direct access
to their mailboxes, only through pop3. (incidentally, does any one use the
%home%/mailbox format for defining the location of a users mailbox?)
