I guess another question would be, what makes IMS stick a message in holding and its rcp in domains and keep pounding away for 54 tries? Here is part of a domain.mri file:

Domain-name: aol.com
Last-tried: 1114622615
Try-number: 9
Mx-host: mailin-03.mx.aol.com
Mx-preference: 15
Mx-status: 0
Mx-expires: 1114623468
Mx-host: mailin-02.mx.aol.com
Mx-preference: 15
Mx-status: 0
Mx-expires: 1114623468
Mx-host: mailin-01.mx.aol.com
Mx-preference: 15
Mx-status: 0
Mx-expires: 1114623468
Mx-host: mailin-04.mx.aol.com
Mx-preference: 15
Mx-status: 0
Mx-expires: 1114623468
Mx-ip-address: 205.188.157.25

Has anyone else been having problems sending messages to AOL? I've had several users on different domains report to me that messages sent to aol.com are timing out (the infamous 54 times). The error messages sent back are very vague, but at least they don't say anything about blacklists. I'm not sure how to diagnose this since it is not something that will show up in a log file. Any suggestions?
