You can look in the Dead mail folder to see if it gave up and shoved them in there. The other thing to try would be a simple telnet session from your new gateway to the destination server and see how that works.
And I'm not sure, but someone else may remember, but I thought there were 2 things you had to change to run the IMS server as a gateway -- you had to add the destination IP and then remove the domains that were in the "accept mail for" portion of the control panel applet for IMS. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ken Maynard Sent: Saturday, April 30, 2005 3:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Moving IMSmail; Using external SMTP As per Randy's instructions, I entered the gateway mailserver address in the control panel, restarted EMWACS, and the mail disappeared from the holding tanks. Trouble is, it didn't arrive! There are no entries in the outlog file, but entries in the inlog file corresponding to the mail. The incoming, domains and holding folders are all empty. I have asked the owner of the gateway mailserver for any signs of life, but have no response yet. Any ideas? This is the discussion list for the IMS Free email server software.
