Forgive me, but we run InterMapper server on Sun Solaris, and use the IM
Remote on various platforms, mostly Windows, Linux and Solaris.

So when you refer to Traditional are you talking about the old Mac based
InterMapper?

Just curious.

One other thing I like about the Traditional interface compared to 
the new 'console' interface is that with traditional animation stops 
when you are editing.

With Intermapper Console 4.4.2 the animation continues when you are 
editing. Thus you don't have instant visual feedback that you have 
successfully entered edit mode, plus the animation makes it more 
difficult to edit maps.
