I've asked for this a number of times for the past two years.. Good luck
with this request. Its kind of annoying to have all your switches in alarm
state just because a port is down. Do people usually run their switches at
100% capacity? Or the ports not being used will NEVER be used? (the whole
hiding inactive ports thing).
