IM need a small and simple Element manager to see and maps ports on the switch or on the router. Life will be a lot simpler using that. Actually manage switches is almost impossible.

We have ports connected to customers that I'd like to be able to graph, but I don't want to receive alarms about the state of those ports - even though I do want to receive alarms about the device in general.

Is there a a way to do this?

I've asked for this a number of times for the past two years.. Good luck with this request. Its kind of annoying to have all your switches in alarm state just because a port is down. Do people usually run their switches at 100% capacity? Or the ports not being used will NEVER be used? (the whole hiding inactive ports thing).
