I saw this, too.  While I am wary of ever taking these sorts of over-generalized
pieces seriously, there is a kernel of truth here.  AM radio listening among
those under 19 is in the low single digits and FM is only a few multiples
better.  I just wrote a column for the November PopComm discussing the future of
AM radio in the US for just this reason.

So is it any wonder why broadcasters seeking younger audiences are eschewing
