Subject: Re: ISPAK: ISP's Meeting at
Karachi / this is not official meeting of ISPAK
Dear Bhutta Sb,
We tried our best to convince you to arrange for elections of ISPAK but
you always find a way out. Now we have taken the matter to ISPs in general
who are the real stakeholders in all this. Our objective is to involve all
the ISPs who are licensed and operational and let them adopt a simple and
transparent election procedure. We have consulted ISPs in Islamabad and
Lahore and would like to do the same in Karachi.
It is baseless to talk about official and non-official at this point as
nothing is official at the moment. In order for something to be official, it
has to be mandated by a majority of ISPs. We are proposing a very
transparent procedure in which everyone has equal chance of getting elected.
I would request you to join this meeting for the best interest of industry
and let it to the members to decide about their representatives. I assure
you that whoever is elected will have full support from us as long as he
follows the rules decided by majority.
In the end, let me make it very clear that we are committed to make ISPAK
a vibrant and transparent organisation instead of being a puppet in the
hands of a selected few. Those who are actively involved are spending their
time, effort and money for the welfare of industry without getting something
in return. I think you should appreciate this instead of blaming them of
wanting positions. Even if someone wants a position, you know it very well
that he has to make a lot of sacrifice in terms of time out of his business
schedule.
We look forward to meet you on Monday.
