I remember having this problem attempting to apply DB XPU's. Once one
fails, you're toast. I found that the RSSP.Installer thread was hung,
killed and restarted it, and after that XPU's installed fine. Hope that

I have an incident ticket open for this exact thing. The first fix from
ISS was to increase the wait time to 30 minutes. That didn't work. Their
next fix was to increase the wait time to 2 HOURS! That didn't work.
Hmmmm.... I wonder if I can anticipate the next idea to come from Tech
support? ...

The site protector 2.0 is installed on Windows 2000 Server with SP3 and
MSSQL 2000 with SP3a on the another machine, and when I try to update the
desktop Controller, then I have the following error:
