I have re-done the merge with branch feature-MATH-1290 . There were some small
nits I found in the merging process like periods in the param arguments in a
few methods. I fixed those so there are still some slight changes. The merge
runs a clean maven site.
I updated my master with the new merge so Rob's command just above should add
my changes to the feature-MATH-1290 branch of the Apache repo.
